Welcome to Efficiency Kansas
A loan program from the State Energy Office at the Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC), Efficiency Kansas provides you with low-cost financing for cost-effective energy-efficiency improvements in homes and small businesses.
Step 1: The Energy Audit Find out where the savings lie with a comprehensive energy audit. Select from the list of Efficiency Kansas qualified auditors and schedule an appointment. Following the inspection, the auditor provides you with an Energy Conservation Plan with customized recommendations for your home or small business.
Step 2: Selecting Contractors Take the customized specifications from your energy audit and present them to any contractors you invite to bid on your project. Submit the final bids and your Energy Conservation Plan to your Efficiency Kansas Partner Lender or Utility.
Step 3: Approval Your Efficiency Kansas partner submits the Energy Conservation Plan to the State Energy Office for review and approval. To be approved, the estimated energy savings must cover the cost of your project in 15 years or less.
Step 4: Implementation Notify selected contractor and let the work begin! Once all work is completed, your auditor will return to verify proper installation to ensure comfort and safety. Then sit back and relax – you'll be more comfortable and you'll be saving energy (and money) month after month.
